'O pazzariello was a street artist, figure and widespread feature of the Naples of the late eighteenth century, nineteenth and the first half of' 900, a kind of jester square which attracted passersby with its quirky little show. Usually you could find it in the streets, dressed in a very eye-catching, while wielding wine or other products (usually bread and pasta) that were entrusted to a nearby basement or workshop to promote themselves. The Pazzariello was also the spells against the evil eye.
