Semipalmated plover (Charadrius semipalmatus) . This small shorebird pictured on the beach of Silver Salmon Creek can be identified by its moderately long yellowish legs, short neck, brown back, white underparts and one thick black band on its chest. This bird got its name from its partially webbed feet.
