NATIONAL TRAINING CENTER, FORT IRWIN, Calif. – New York Army National Guard Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 108th infantry wait for an F18 Hornet to drop a 500 lbs. bomb after they acquire the target for the pilot here Oct. 9 during training. The Soldiers are training here as part of the unit's preparations for mobilization and deployment to Afghanistan with the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in early 2012.
