A South German flintlock pistol,circa 1730. Smooth-bore barrel in 12 mm calibre,midrib and silver-inlaid figure of the goddess Diana inbetween tendrils on top. Engraved and chiselled flintlock with a(defective)set trigger. Carved walnut full stock with a partly openwork brass furniture in fine relief,wooden ramrod with horn tip. The stock has been reworked,with supplements and repairs.
