The contemporary, Parc de la Diagonal Mar was designed by the architects Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue in 2002 and is located in the new Forum Barcelona. It is built on the 14 hectare site of a disused factory and is divided into seven large areas including a lake with sculptures which spray out water and curved tubular structures.
