On account of the low price, together with thesmall size of the seed, it costs less than half as muchper acre to seed with timothy than with any other cul-tivated grass. The low cost of rye-grass seed is due to the greatabundance of these seeds produced in England and onthe Continent of Europe, where they are the leadinggrasses.
