Leaves dark glossy green. Bears immense crops of even- sized fruit while very young. Never fails. Surpasses all other varieties in keeping and carrying qualities. Flesh firm, even when dead ripe, but melting and juicy, with a de- liciousness indescribable. Commands the highest price in home and foreign markets. Miracle. Originated by Luther Burbank, of Santa Rosa, California. A cross between the French fruit, Primus Sans Noyeau, and the French prune. In general form it resembles the French prune, its staminate parent, but is larger in size. The color is distinctly of the Damson type, a rich, dark purple with heavy blue bloom.
