From the foregoing observations the medical readermay observe that Thermal Treatment, as a curative agency,is not disregarded at StrathpefiFer. It forms a mostimportant and most rational auxiliary to a Sulphur Spa,for, to many cases, Thermal Treatment as an external,and Sulphur as an internal, remedy are in combinationadmirably adapted. And it is only when patients areenabled, as at Spas, to adjust their lives for some weeksto rather exacting requirements, that it is possible toattempt the one or the other. One of the most important forms of Thermal Treatmentis by the Douche. This has now been introduced forsome years at Strathpeffer, and excellent results areobtained from its use, both in the ordinary form andin a special form of spinal douche.
