Mainz, Germany. 30th April 2018. Police officers and fences separate the counter-protesters from the right-wing rally. Around 80 right-wing protesters rallied in the city centre of Mainz, to protest against the German government, for the closing of the borders and against refugees under the slogan ‘Merkel has to go’. The protest is held on a weekly basis in Mainz and part of a larger group of right-wing demos being held across Germany on a weekly basis. The main speaker at this rally was the German-Congolese right-wing activist Serge were heckled by around 350 counter-protesters.
