A Saxon hunting sword, dated 1695 Slender single-edged blade with double-edged point and flat fullers on both sides. The upper third etched on both sides with the Saxon coat of arms under an electoral hat, surmounted by scrolling leaves and the motto "Soli deo gloria". The root featuring the date specification "1695". Indistinct etching, partially faded due to cleaning. Iron knuckle-bow hilt with decorative brass rivets, the obverse featuring a side ring and pierced guard plate. Engraved iron grip ferrule.
