Theirbody bolster has its top member bifurcat-ed to increase its bearing surface andtransverse stability without increase ofweight. The bottom or compressionmember is of inverted T-section whichprovides for both compression and shearloads. The separable body bolster is de-signed to T3ermit of the removal of con-tinuous draw timbers, without the neces-sity of removing their attaching bolts. Byremoving the center plate and the nutsfrom the draw timber bolts, the drawtimbers may be removed and replacedwhile car is under load. For the past year the following ordershave been booked: Separable bodybolsters, Missouri Pacific for cars;by D. & R, G. for 750 cars; Wabash cars; by Mexican National for 500cars; by New iork Central for 500 cars;by Santa Fe for 1,200 cars; for NationalCoal Dump Co. for 5 car
