The PTAP program provided reserve Marines hands-on training in maintenance of Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP-N) equipment for their two-week annual training. The forward positioning of equipment through the MCPP-N reduces operational reaction time by eliminating the need to deploy equipment from locations in the continental United States.
