It is round, flattened in shape, and very handsome; usual size two feet in diameter and 40 to 60 lbs. weight, but on well enriched soil often attams colossal proportions. The skin is of a greyish-green color, sKghtly netted; richly flavored, dr>', marrow flash, of a beautiful golden yellow color. It is a good keeper and for winter use has few equals.
