A pair of flintlock pistols,B. Chovet,St. Etienne(?),circa 1720. Lightly swamped,round,smooth bore barrels in 15 mm calibre with sighting flats. Smooth flintlocks with bevelled edges,light trophy engraving,and the signature,"B. Chovet". One cock replaced. Lightly carved walnut stocks(minor defects/repairs)with brass furniture. The side plates are engraved with retrieving dogs. The butts have grotesque mask butt caps. Replacement ramrods with iron tips.
