A Southern German two-handed flamberge, Munich(?), circa 1580 Heavy blade with ridges on both sides and offset wavy edges. Long, partially leather-covered ricassos with downward curving parrying hooks. Extended curved quillons with symmetrical double guard rings. Leathe-covered grip and a pear-shaped pommel decorated with rosettes. Original leather covering with minor defects.
