The Sassoon Docks built by Sir Albert Abdallah David a Baghdadi Jew of the house of David Sassoon & Co.,"the Rothschilds of the East" was the first instance of a wet dock built in western India. Mecca of local gourmets and restaurateurs who forage for quality seafood at dawn when trawlers unload their booty. (The docks in The Sassoon Docks was featured in one of the episodes of the reality series: The Amazing Race).
