Nazi secret weapon, artwork. This is 'The Bell' (German: Die Glocke), a rumoured secret weapon developed by Nazi Germany in Silesia (the Czech Republic) during World War II (1939-1945). It was said that this object consisted of a cylindrical metallic object some 4 metres tall. The active substance was called Xerum 525, and was highly radioactive. Several scientists died during its development, but as the war neared its end, both the weapon and the secret weapons commander General Hans Kammler, disappeared.
