A 7ft bronze statue of cowboy artist William 'Bill' Gollings, by Wyoming sculptor, Jerry Palen, standing outside the Wyoming Arts Council, across from the Wyoming State Capitol, Capitol Avenue, Cheyenne. William 'Bill' Gollings (1878-1932) was Wyoming's foremost working cowboy artist. One boot rests on a saddle he designed. One hand holds a palette, the other a paintbrush. Gollings was born at Pierce City, Idaho, and died, aged 54, at Sheridan, Wyoming.
