I'cters' & Wons, of Ilillyard, Wash., report the shipping trade good and are looking for a lieavy Christmas trade. E. S. Eugene, of Eugene's Elower Shop, reports the sale of artificial flower baskets to be good. The department store trade demand is greater for this class of stock than it is in the regular flower stores. Mr. and Mrs. Skinner, of Hoyt Bros. Co., have opened a flower stand in the Culbertson department store. The open- ing date was December 10. The regular meeting of the Florists' Club was h(dd December 6 and a good representation of the memliers was pres- ent at the election. 11. Hill, of the City Floral Co., jiresent chairman, will turn this office over to \V. E. Peters, of Peters & Sons. C. Art addressed the members, his topic being advertising. He pointed out the necessity of contin- ually advising the ])ul)lic to buy flowers. The" committee on distributing flower vases to the hosjiitals rejiorted and the billboard committee re]iorted tliat the billboards were ready for distribution. A. A. Kelly giive a talk on the methods enijdoyed by the California florists in conducting their business and in general horticulture. The delivery car of Hoyt Bros.
