Equally good results would be obtained from one larger outlet and it is preferable to use one 5-inch flow, although two 4-inck flow and return outlets would be all right. As indicated, 3-inch outlets are not large enough for houses of this size for the best results. With three 2%- inch flows and twelve 2-inch returns, it will be possible to maintain 60 degrees in a 20xl00-foot house with thirty inches of glass in the walls. NEWARK, N. J. The Market. Business continues good for the sum- mer months. Naturally, the volume of trade decreases after July 1 and does not increase again before the latter part of September or the first part of Octo- ber. With some florists the falling off this year, however, has not been so great as it usually is. Many florists are planning to redecorate their stores or make other alterations and improve- ments during the summer months, pre- paratory to the fall season. Vaxious Notes. McLaughlin & Murphy report an un- usually large quantity of funeral work for this season of the year. Other trade has fallen off somewhat. No definite arrangements for the an- nual outing of the Essex County Flo- rists' Club have yet been made, al- though the outing is usually held in the early part of August.
