May 20, 2011. .The Santals are an ethnic minority community living in different districts of Rajshahi division in Bangladesh. Most do not own land and work as daily paid labourers for very low wages. Much of the advancements in technology have bypassed these isolated communities where males dominate and women shoulder the burden of farming and carrying out other are also the largest ethnic group in India where they have settlements in the states of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa, and Assam.
