HELMAND, Afghanistan--Canadian Army Private Chad Mazurek of Branford, Ontario assigned to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) performs a check of a 50 caliber machine gun during routine maintenance. Mazurek is a member of the Canadian Operational Mentor Liaison Team responsible for training Afghan National Army soldiers. ISAF is assisting the Afghan government in extending and exercising its authority and influence across the country, creating the conditions for stabilization and reconstruction.
