Santiago de Cuba, and Boqueron in Guantanamo Bay, and lately Antilla, are the shippmg points of the manganese production of this Province, which is another important asset of its mineral wealth. At Cristo, La Maya and Songo, there are many important manganese mines feverishly worked and shipping, an aggregate tonnage which exceeds 8,000 tons of 38 to 60% manganese ore per month.
