Pathology and Pathological Anatomy.—The condition consistsin an invagination of one portion of the intestine into another, the resultof irregular contraction and peristalsis of the intestinal walls. The in-vagination is descending in type, an ascending invagination being veryrare. The upper portion, the intussusceptum, slips into the lower, the.
