SI and 92) are grazed on thesame land in this district, the cattle pasturing on the grass, the goats browsing theoak scrub and other brush, retarding its adyauce upon the grass land, while the sheepeat the weeds as well as the grass and brush. In the South and in western Oregon thegoats are used in large numbers in clearing up cut-over land. In Texas and Oregon thegoats are mostly Angoras, in Arizona and New Mexico Angoras predominate, but otherbreeds are common, while in the South practically none of the goats are raised fortheir fleece.
