MERIDIAN, Miss. (May 10, 2017) A University of Mississippi Medical Center EC-135 AirCare helicopter lands in base housing during the HURREX/Citadel Gale 2017 exercise on board Naval Air Station Meridian. AirCare was one of four outside agencies assisting NAS Meridian personnel during the exercise. HURREX/Citadel Gale 2017 is an annual exercise which prepares the Navy to respond to adverse weather threats in coastal regions, and to maintain the ability to deploy forces even under the most severe weather conditions.
