Light micrograph of a cross-sectioned elastic artery stained with orcein. Almost the entire wall is formed from the tunica media rich in elastic lamellae (stained brown by orcein). On the bottom is the tunica externa, or adventitia. Around the artery, there are adipose tissue lobules.
