Kokamon, Iyemitsu. Attributed to Adolfo Farsari, photographer (American, 1841 - 1898) about 1875–1890s View of the Kokamon Gate, also known as the Ryugumon Gate, at the Taiyuin Shrine or Taiyu-in Reibyo, the mausoleum of the shogun, Tokugawa Iemitsu. The gate's otherwise square-shaped archway has rounded upper corners and is topped with an ornately decorated roof. The staircase that leads to the gate is flanked by two large lanterns.
