Sea lily (Oxycomanthus sp.) on a sponge (Theonella cylindrica). The sea lily, or crinoid, has feathery arms (yellow) which trap food particles from the water. The particles are then passed to the mouth along the arms. It is sessile, remaining in one place for its whole life, bonded to its substrate by a stalk. Photographed in Layang Layang, Malaysia.
