A Room for London on top of the Queen Elizabeth Hall. SEE DESCRIPTION FOR DETAILS

A Room for London is a single-bedroom, boat-shaped hotel seemingly moored on the roof of the Queen Elizabeth Hall on London's South Bank. It was developed by Living Architecture with Artangel and designed by David Kohn Architects with the artist Fiona Banner. It was originally intended to be open only during the London Olympic year of 2012 but has been granted yearly extensions since to the end of 2015. Reservations cost £300 for a night's stay and are by ballot.
