A recruit with Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, stands at the position of attention during rifle issue at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 11. Each recruit is issued a rifle that they will be responsible for throughout recruit training. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited form the Western Recruiting Region are trained aboard MCRD San Diego. Delta Company is scheduled to graduate May 3.
