A closeup view of Agathla Peak from Highway 163. This peak is also nicknamed Arizona's El Capitan because of its resemblance to the El Capitan in Yosemite. It is located just south of Mystery Valley, which is near Monument Valley. It is sometimes referred to as the Guardian of Mystery Valley, which is closed to the public and is only accessible by hired Indian Guide or a licensed Tour company. It is located on the Navajo Indian Reservation.
