St Leonard's Church, on the St Leonards-on-Sea seafront, is now closed because of cliff falls. The church, designed by Gilbert Scott White, replaced the original James Burton church which was obliterated by a doodle bug in 1944. The old graveyard on the top of the cliff overlooks the church and the sea.
