Jerusalem, Israel. 24th Sep, 2016. Inner courtyards and stairways show signs of neglect in a residential building on The Prophets Road, HaNeviim, erected in 1928 with funds provided by the Ethiopian Empress Zauditu to house her country's consulate. A decorative mosaic gable on the facade displays the Ethiopian monarchy emblem and is inscribed in Geez: “The lion of the tribe of Judah has triumphed”. This area adjacent to downtown Jerusalem serves as a hub for Christian Africans, mostly from Ethiopia and Eritrea. Credit: Nir Alon/Alamy Live News
