GULF (Nov. 9, 2016) - Petty Officer 2nd Class Caitlyn Arizmendi practices chest compressions on a training dummy during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training on the ship's mess decks aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94). Arizmendi serves aboard Nitze as a fire controlman and helps deploy and maintain weapons systems. Nitze, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
