This practice has some-times caused difficulty in identifying the sites of the oldtaverns and their owners. In 1766, we find in an ad-vertisement that: Concerts of Music are given by 46 The Worlds Greatest Street Edward Bardin, innkeeper, at the Kings Arms gardenin the Broadway, three times a week in the evening, in aneat and commodious room in the garden; tickets i^.The Kings Arms, being so close to the fort, enjoyedgreat popularity during the Revolution and the days. THE KINGS ARMS, ATLANTIC GARDEN, IN 1765 (From Valentines Manual for 1856) preceding it, and was the headquarters of General Gageduring the time he was commander-in-chief.
