The chalice has a pointed bottom, which is faceted on the outside in eleven downwardly rounded surfaces. Then there is a horizontal notch with a diamond crystal edge above it, with stars cut in the diamonds. Above this again a horizontal notch, followed by cut wave decoration and then the smooth, straight top wall, on which is drilled in italics: Ex Amicitia Utilitas. 1836 ..
