Magdalen Hill Down is a chalk downland nature reserve managed by Butterfly Conservation near Winchester, Hampshire. In the distance is Deacon Hill, a 10 hectare patchwork of scrub and chalk grassland overlooking the Chilcomb valley, now managed by Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
