Air Force Capt. Jared King (right), a Forrest Hill, Md., native and cyber warfare operator attached to Central Command's Materiel Recovery Element, receives a flag and certificate from Army Lt. Col. Nathan Swartz, a native of Tullahoma, Tenn., and the commander of the 703rd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Oct. 18, 2013 at Forward Operating Base Shank, Afghanistan. Swartz, who is King's brother-in-law and mentor, flew the flag over his headquarters in honor of King and his family's service to the nation.
