In pianoforte-playerscramp one finger or a thumb may fail to act in coordination with 466 NERVOUS DISEASES. the rest of the fingers, so that it may remain extended or not movein harmony. In violin-players cramp the same aifection may bemet with in the finger of either hand, that which moves the stringsor bows, and sometimes in both. In seamstresses cramp it is thethimble-finder of the right hand that is most often affected.
