An Italian small-sword with chiselled hilt, circa 1600 Double-edged (somewhat later) blade, both sides with inscription "IN TE DOMINE - SPERAVI" within the fullers. S-shaped quillons chiselled in relief with mascaron finials on both sides, the obverse with riveted guard bar. Spiral copper wire wrap with pear-shaped, grooved pommel. Length cm.
