Sow in hotbeds in March or April, or in a warm, sheltered border in May, and, when season is favorable, transplant in rows 2 feet apart and i8 inches in row, in good, rich ground. Produces the biggest fruits of all mild, edible kinds hitherto known. The fruit has solid flesh of good flavor and of a magnificent golden yellow color. They are consequently more to the sun, maturing earlier ; and even during wet weather they cannot become so easilv rotted as the kinds with hanging fruits, which come too easily iii contact with the soil.
