Redtail or Collared butterflyfish (Chaetodon collare) with Blue coral (Heliopora coerulea).
The coral genus Heliopora is as hard as a stony coral, but a member of the subclass Octocorallia, which otherwise comprises more or less corals with soft tissues only. Only the interior of the skeleton reveals the blue colour. This coral is a living fossil with a evolutionary age of more than 100 million years. Andaman Sea, Thailand.
