To expect any such ferti-lizing matter to remain in the ground foranother year is to presume that the ferti-lizers are not properly manufactured. Bonedust, however, will remain in the soil sev-eral years. —One of the great advantages of drain-ing the soil is to insure the free access ofoxygen. A plant can not any more livewithout oxygen than can an animal. Oxy-gen is one of the best fertilizersi for by itsaction in the soil it prepares the mineralsfor food for plants. 6th Month.
