The parts are soproportioned and insulated that much higher efficiency than usual issecured; in fact, when run on no V. direct current, the effectiveenergy push through an X-Ray tube is about 50% more than can beobtained from a standard type 20 coil of any good make. Whenoperated on 220 V. direct current the output is greater still. A verysmall amount of * inverse discharge is developed which is entirelyeliminated by proper use of spark gaps or ventril tubes.
