Clopidogrel bisulfate. Molecular model of the drug clopidogrel bisulfate ( ). This antiplatelet agent is sold under the brand name Plavix. It is used to inhibit blood clots in coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, and to prevent myocardial infarction (heart attack) and stroke. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white), nitrogen (blue), oxygen (red), chlorine (green) and sulfur (yellow).
