Tlie wood of the several rambler roses that are to be forced should be well ripened up. Those that have been grown in the open ground should be lifted and potted. The pot-grown stock should be subjected to some freezing weather, but they should not be left out until the weather becomes severe enough to freeze the ground so that the pots become broken.
