An silver-mounted Ottoman kilij with suspension, circa 1800 Blade with wide fullers on both sides, a reinforced back, and a broad double-edged point. Quillons engraved with geometric designs. Chased silver grip strap with floral designs. Riveted rhinoceros horn grip scales. Wooden scabbard covered with shagreen leather sewn with silver wire and with silver mountings bearing embossed floral designs. A serpent-shaped monster on the two suspension bars.
