First train ride from Bandoeng to Garut Garut: Under great interest of civil and military authorities, the first train, festively decorated, departed from Bandoeng to Garut. After arriving at Garoet, the authorities took a walk through the city, preceded by the Drumband of the 7 December Division. Among the invited guests we noted: Gen. Oh, Maj. Dürst Britt, Recomba for West Java. Hilman Djajadiningrat, and the recently recovered Wali Negara of Pasundan, Councils Wirana-Takumah.
