According to the Massachusetts Restaurant Association 23% or 3,400 restaurants in the state have permanently closed during the pandemic. On May 17th 2021, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced that because of the state’s high vaccination rate all COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted on May 29th 2021.
