Brenner’s Boylston street café opened in the upscale Back Bay section of central Boston in 2011 and closed during the COVID pandemic restrictions in 2020. According to the Massachusetts Restaurant Association 23% or 3,400 restaurants in the state have permanently closed during the pandemic. On May 17th 2021, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced that because of the state’s high vaccination rate all COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted on May 29th 2021.
